Trainees are trained in performing exams in different subspecialties, interpreting results, and understanding exam protocols and principles of each exam. This training program aims to provide ophthalmologists and Mid-Level Ophthalmology Personnel with advanced skills in ocular imaging techniques, specifically focusing on the retina, glaucoma, and intraocular lens (IOL) clinics. The program covers both theoretical and practical aspects of ocular imaging, offering hands-on experience and clinical application to ensure accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.

Participants familiarize themselves with retinal imaging technologies (e.g., OCT, fundus photography) and glaucoma diagnostics (e.g., OCT, visual field testing). Training includes mastering image acquisition techniques, proper equipment handling, and identifying normal vs. pathological findings in ocular images. Theoretical sessions cover the principles of imaging and their relevance to retinal and glaucoma assessments.

Trainees engage in hands-on exercises using real-life imaging systems, including OCT and fundus photography for retina imaging and diagnostic techniques for glaucoma management. Participants learn how to capture high-quality images, interpret the results, and correlate imaging findings with clinical symptoms. Realistic case simulations help trainees refine their skills in analyzing retinal conditions, glaucoma progression, and IOL assessments.

–  Trainees apply ocular imaging techniques in the clinic, performing imaging for patients with retinal diseases, glaucoma, and those undergoing cataract surgery or IOL implantation. – Under expert supervision, trainees learn to interpret images in real-time, making diagnostic decisions and treatment plans based on imaging findings. – Emphasis is placed on interpreting complex cases, including diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma progression, and IOL evaluation, with direct feedback from experienced ophthalmologists.
